Buried Within originally started as quite a dark and aggressive sounding track, with a percussive focus and for the first time bringing in more metal inspired riffs, but took a more light-hearted twist when it came to the naming process...
I had been visiting Box Hill in Surrey for some escapism from London, and soon discovered “Labelliere’s Grave”, which is a grave located near the top of the hill. Peter Labelliere was apparently a highly eccentric Major who in his retirement found solace in spending hours looking at the views from the hill.
Not only did he predict the exact day of his death - nine months in advance - but he also requested that he was buried upside-down within Box Hill and that his landlady’s children were to dance on his coffin. I found this pretty hilarious, so named a song after him! [Guy Andrews]
